A practice built over three generations.

History

Established in 1962 as P. V. Surte & Co., the firm has practised law for over six decades. The firm was founded by Late Mr. P. V. Surte in 1962 and has since been carried forward by the next two generations. We are based in Mumbai and appear before various forums across India.

Nature of practice

The firm's work spans advisory and litigation across indirect tax, direct tax and allied laws. Partners of the firm are enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa. The firm's expertise also draws on chartered accountancy, one of the partners being a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Approach

The firm's work is conducted in accordance with the standards of professional conduct and etiquette prescribed under the Advocates Act, 1961, and the Bar Council of India Rules.
